Summer Programs

Coquitlam School District / British Columbia
Morning-Only Intensive ESL

This half-day program emphasizes practical speaking, listening, reading, vocabulary and writing skills. Students will participate in activities focused on such themes as Canada, the community, the environment and British Columbia.
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Afternoon Cultural and Athletic Activities

Afternoon activities can be combined with the morning-only ESL program to create a complete well-rounded ESL and Canadian experience. An opportunity to experience Canadian culture and use newly learned English skills by participating in group activities and by exploring the beautiful outdoors of the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia. The Afternoon Cultural Program includes such activities as swimming, picnics, golfing, tennis, bowling, canoeing, hiking, team sports, crafts and bus trips to popular sightseeing areas.
Time: 12:00 noon - 4:30 p.m.

General English Program: Offers daily classes led by professional English teachers that develop all aspects of students' English abilities.

Intensive English Program: A comprehensive course aimed at intermediate and advanced students who want to develop their English abilities in a focused environment.

TOEFL and Academic Preparation Program: Focuses on developing the skills that are essential for success at an English language university and preparing students for the TOEFL iBT Test.

Faculty of Medicine's Youth Summer Program

This program offers high school students an exclusive glimpse into the world of medicine and medical research and allows participants to experience what it is like to be a student at Canada's premier medical school.

Faculty of Law's Youth Summer Program

This exciting and unique one-week program gives high school students an extraordinary glimpse into the reality of criminal and an opportunity to learn what it is like to be a student at Canada's most prestigious law school.

  • Option 1: One week ESL and Activity Program in Vernon, B.C.
  • Option 2: Two weeks ESL and Activity Program in Vernon, BC or One week in Vernon and one week at Study English in Canada Language School in Vancouver, B.C.
  • Option 3: One to Eight Week Program in Vernon, B.C. only, or spend 1-2 weeks at Study English in Canada Language School in Vancouver, B.C.

Bronte College / Ontario, Canada

Bronte College began offering Summer Camps in 1996 and the success of our camps has attracted participants from all over the world. The ESL and Summer Fun Camp allows participants to learn English through formal in-class teaching as well as from applied activities in science and arts. The Academic Enrichment and Fun Camp allows participants to hone their skills in math and science, and through formal in-class teaching and applied activities. At the same time, participants from either camp will experience Canadian culture through exciting trips and activities including major attractions and a wilderness experience.
